Помогите решить проблему установки
Играю в Cities: Skyline и не так давно Steam сообщил, что для игры необходимо установить Paradox Launcher V2.
Вот только установить лаунчер не получается. При установке вылезает ошибка — картинка выше.
Что я только не предпринимал. Максимальные обновления всего что только возможно, всякие очистки и обновления. Пробовались все советы с форумов Paradox, пробовались все советы из переписки с поддержкой Paradox. Не хочет ставиться.
Не можем понять что мешает установщику осуществить процесс.
В лог файле установки поддержка Paradox нашла ссылку на ошибку 1603 при установке, но ничем помочь не смогли.
Одним лаунчером (и магазином) меньше: Paradox отказались от старого
Без шума и помпы старый лаунчер для купленных в Paradox Plaza игр канул в Лету вместе с магазином.

Желающие приобрести Battletech или попытаться предзаказать Victoria III «из первых рук», вынуждены пользоваться альтернативными магазинами.
При этом, уже купленное никуда не делось. Уже имевшийся на сайте список активированных игр, ранее включавший в себя только некоторые доступные в старом лаунчере и/или имеющие доступные для разблокировки варианты в Steam игры, теперь отображает наличные игры и DLC полностью.
В «официальном уведомлении» указано, что магазин Paradox Plaza снова заработает через несколько недель.
Статус старого лаунчера
Старый лаунчер больше не доступен для загрузки с официального сайта.
О старом лаунчере официальных уведомлений (помимо внутрилаунчерного «окошка» с предложением перейти на новый лаунчер, размещённого среди рекламы) обнаружено не было.
Внутрилаунчерное уведомление появилось только недавно (и не для всех игр), хотя сам новый лаунчер стал доступен для скачивания в конце февраля 2022 года.
Старый лаунчер продолжает функционировать нормально. Как долго он будет оставаться работоспособным — неизвестно.
Статус нового лаунчера
Новый лаунчер доступен для загрузки здесь. Автоматическое обновление из старого лаунчера в новый не возможно: это два взаимонезависимых программных продукта.
Часть функционала существенно урезана. В частности, невозможно просмотреть список доступных для установки DLC, если игра не установлена (в старом лаунчере под это была выделена отдельная вкладка в окне игры).
Формально, это всё тот же «launcher v2», который уже используют Steam-версии Hearts of Iron IV и Crusader Kings III , с возможностью собственно установить игру без использования Steam.
Авторизации с учётной записью Paradox Plaza достаточно. Авторизоваться учётной записью Steam не нужно, если ранее была произведена привязка.
Приобретённые в Epic Games Store игры не доступны в новом лаунчере (и не были доступны в старом).
Папка для установки лаунчера (и игр) по умолчанию — всё ещё расположена в %APPDATA%.

Launcher Paradox V2
In the years I collected a bunch of Paradox games (Tiranny, HOI3, EUIII, EUIV, Darkest Hour, ecc.).
I was able, after buiyng the Origins DLC to get through the launcher without any issue but since some months I’m not able to get to work it anymore.
I have a Laptop an all my games and of course Steam are installed on an external hard disk.
I already tryed many ways to solve the problem but nothing.
May I ask for some help?
ps. Of course I have got the complete set of DLC from EUIV I’m kinda a fan
